Shows that might get streamed if Dororo gets funded

animenostalgia:

If you’re a fan of any title in the coming list, read on.

Tezuka Productions is currently crowdfunding three Tezuka shows to get translated and streamed officially (and then crowdfunded for DVD). Dororo is doing the best so far, and is a rather short series of just two sets of 13 episodes each. But it’s still doing horribly slow for a show of its importance.

Once it does get funded however (or when Wonder 3 or Goku’s Grand Adventure does), one of the following shows will take its place to be the next to have a shot at being streamed/released on DVD:

So please make your pledge of 5 bucks to the crowdfunding of Dororo on Anime Sols so that we can also have these other shows as soon as possible.

If you’re a fan of Tezuka, definitely consider supporting stuff on AnimeSols so we can possibly get more titles like this! Check out Dororo and their other streaming titles.

Kamisama no Beret - The Untold Story: How Tezuka Osamu Created His Black Jack is a TV special based on the recent popular manga of the same name, giving us a look at Tezuka’s years while he was working on the smash hit that brought him back to fame.

In this segment from the movie, Tezuka has just decided to get back into animation with a new studio, Tezuka Productions, and in a flashback going a few years earlier, we see his first studio, Mushi Production, during bankruptcy and Tezuka throwing away animation cels from Dororo, saying he’ll never work on anime again.

For his great but turbulent return to animation, the TV film he set out to work on was Bander Book. The first of an annual series of TV specials, it unfortunately failed its funding on Anime Sols, but now it’s Dororo's turn to be currently taking pledges to be localized into English for the very first time.

Heads up

eff-blog:

I’m gonna make a pledge for people living outside of North America who’ve sent me money via Paypal to crowd fund the Dororo stream. If you’d like to also be part of it, my Paypal is fman@videotron.ca. I’ve done this with lots of people for Black Jack, including susannahisstillalive and kuroohazama. I’m trustworthy.

Once it’s funded, you can watch the streams either by tricking the site into thinking you’re in the US or I could send you good quality videos I’ll make myself. Or there’s that DVD release that will hopefully happen if the stream gets funded quickly enough. There’s plenty of choices and you shouldn’t let the fact you live outside NA stop you from helping out.

Space Ace and Goku’s Grand Adventure are now up and ready for support on Anime Sols!

If you ever wanted to see Tatsunoko’s very first anime, then Space Ace is for you.

Goku’s Adventure is another series from the 60’s, this one from Mushi Production. Based on an Osamu Tezuka manga, some pretty important animators worked on this one.

Even more classics will be up in the next few weeks.

Here’s a glimpse at all of the new Anime Sols shows for this summer! You can pledge for the first DVD set of The File of Young Kindaichi Returns, or for streaming the first 13 episodes of Tezuka’s Dororo and Tatsunoko’s The Warrior, Gordian right now.

Additionally, the following classic anime will also be made available for support to crowdfund their streams in the next few weeks:

7/26

  • Goku no Daibouken
  • Space Ace

8/9

  • Time Bokan
  • Temple the Balloonist

8/30

  • Wonder 3
  • Kerokko Dematan

9/13

  • Belfy and Lil’bit
